Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are happy you can attest to being and feeling safe while working in a correctional environment and that the structure appealed to you. Turnover in correctional healthcare is a challenge that we have been working hard to overcome through policies like our new on-boarding program, enhanced management training, mentoring and our Core Process Program. Some areas of the country where we provide services are more challenging than others due to widespread nursing shortages, but we believe we are having an impact. Correctional nursing is a rewarding career and I encourage those seeking healthcare jobs to take a look at all Corizon Health has to offer. Sincerely, Becky Pinney Senior Vice President, Nursing

Thanks for taking the time to review your experience with Corizon Health! I’m glad to hear you’ve realized the opportunity for growth potential here. There are stories across the organization of folks who started with us as clinical nurses and now, years later, are senior leaders. We strive to make sure we cultivate professional development wherever possible. Regarding staff turnover, you are correct in identifying the unique challenge of correctional healthcare as a reason some nurses leave. We are working hard to reduce turnover. One initiative is a clinical shadowing programs we’re piloting that gives potential future employees a realistic job preview, prior to hiring. There definitely has to be a mutual fit! We welcome other suggestions you may have to decrease turnover and hope that you will share these with your DON or HSA. Sincerely, Courtney Penning Director of Talent Acquisition

Thanks for leaving a review. We hope to continue to have you as part of the Corizon family for years to come. We are currently piloting a nurse referral program, through an external company called “Relode.” If you have any colleagues that you think would fit well in our environment, check them out. It’s a great way to make some additional money, just by making a referral! Sincerely, Courtney Penning Director of Talent Acquisition
