Pros

Decent pay for the area. CEUs and some assistance for training provided.

Cons

Contract with state in turmoil almost all of the time. Fair local support, but upper echelons far removed from the fray.

Thank you for taking time to write a review. Apparently it has been some time since you worked for the company as Corizon Health has not provided health services in Florida’s prison system for almost two years. However, we are gratified you found your pay to be competitive and would note to prospective job applicants that not only do we support our clinical staff with training and CEUs, we also have a tuition reimbursement program with many avenues for advancement. Sincerely, Courtney Penning Director of Talent Acquisition

Pros

Individual clinicians whom I interacted with directly or observed commenting at a company state-wide meeting were sincere, had knowledge about the field and dealing with the status quo in the workplace.

Cons

The same staff were reluctant to "Speak Truth to Power" seemingly due to their awareness that the Corizon management cannot be trusted to do what the say and that they have a style of launching management projects more for 'appearances' than practical interventions that improve clinical care and fair supportive treatment of their own medical staff.

Pays well

Pros

Pays higher than most other companies for the same position. You accumulate 7 hours of PTO every two weeks which adds up fast. Tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Point system for clocking in a minute early or late. If your out sick consecutively for three days it's a write up and you still need a doctors note.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to write a review. Your work is vital to the health and rehabilitation of your patients, and we hope you continue to find a rewarding career at Corizon Health with opportunities to grow both personally and professionally, such as through the tuition reimbursement program that you mentioned. Regarding the “point system,” we encourage you to reach out to your Supervisor to voice concerns you may have regarding this regulation. Policy changes, such as the one you are describing, require comprehensive reviews that consider a number of factors, but your supervisor can forward your suggestions for consideration. In addition, we have taken the liberty of relaying your feedback. Again, thank you for sharing your opinion. We are grateful for everything you do. Sincerely, Human Resources
