Pros

Love the HSA (director) and my co-workers!

Cons

The schedule is really awful sometimes... It's not predictable and sometimes you work 4-5 days with only one day off in the mix.

Great to hear you are enjoying your work and your team! I hear you, on the schedule component. Not sure which site in Indy you work, but, as is the case in other aspects of healthcare, there is a nurse shortage, nationwide. We’ve recently reviewed market rates, and are trying our best to stay ahead of the curve and ensure there is proper coverage at our locations. Tell your friends we are hiring!!!! Thanks for what you do. Sincerely, Courtney Penning Director of Talent Acquisition

This is great feedback. We’ve recently revamped our on-boarding program. I’m not sure when you started, but if it was recently, this is really good to hear. Hard to comment on location, as I am not sure which location you are working, but in general, location is one of the challenges we face, in hiring, in our industry. Prisons are typically in outlier towns, and are not necessarily the easiest commute from a metropolitan area. In any event, we are glad you are making the drive and are happy with your decision to be part of the Corizon team! Sincerely, Courtney Penning Director of Talent Acquisition

Pros

Core Processes initiative Growth through building strong teams that exceed client expectations. Consistent training and development with thorough, timely, quality, state-of-the-art, general and specific programs designed to improve performance. Field trained/experienced resources and support.

Cons

Quality assurance, Problem resolution and Quality improvement are all a continuous processes involving all levels of the organization working together across departmental lines to produce better services for the health care client; However, with the ever changing client population there is a need to continuously improve the processes and outcomes of health care services provided which for someone, who enjoys unvarying routine can become overwhelming.
