I’m glad you enjoyed your time with Corizon. With how government contracts are set up, we bid it for a set amount of money, and that has to cover supplies, medication, compensation for employees, etc. Depending on which site you worked, if the contract was bid for several years, it may be the case that market conditions changed (i.e.- shortage of nurses in a specific market), beyond what we anticipated. We aren’t in a position to go back to the client at that time, and ask for more money, to offset wage increases. We’ve recently done sweeping market analysis and have built in rates to account for the changing healthcare labor market. Sorry that the impact of these increases didn’t touch your specific location. It’s always our goal to make sure we are market competitive, so that we can staff our sites and ensure our patients receive the best care. Thanks for taking the time to write a review! Sincerely, Courtney Penning Director of Talent Acquisition

I’m sorry to hear that you had a less than favorable experience with Corizon. There are a lot of misnomers about the contract close out in Forida. Our exit was based on unfulfilled financial commitments, on the part of the state and was in no way a reflection of the level of service Corizon was providing. In terms of the concerns about upper management, we operate with site leadership and regional leadership. We encourage employees to escalate concerns up their chain of command. Hopefully you were aware of the option to voice your concerns with others, while you were with us. Sincerely, Courtney Penning Director of Talent Acquisition

Pros

The pay is good. The shifts are flexible. They will work around a school schedule. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Cons

Lack management. Its hard to keep management staff so there is a constant shift of leadership due to the different styles of managers that are brought in.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I can’t comment too specifically on the management issues you’ve outlined here, as your post doesn’t specify a location. I would encourage you to escalate any concerns up the site and regional chain of command if you have specific issues, although it sounds like it’s more management turnover vs. a concern with a specific manager. In any event, hopefully your site will stabilize soon, and you can continue to work with Corizon! Also, since you mention school schedule, make sure you are taking advantage of our tuition assistance program! If you haven’t already done so, talk to your boss about how to enroll! Sincerely, Courtney Penning Director of Talent Acquisition
