Pros

A small but mighty team. Engineering and product talent is top notch. Genuinely refreshing after coming from big corporate or from toxic startups. Perks like all company offsites once a year, monthly wellness funds

Cons

Some of the team is really young and the inexperience shows - but the culture is one where people have a growth mindset and own their mistakes. Being fully remote is hard for the extroverts who want to see people and hard for the introverts, whose work doesn't get seen.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad to hear that the strength of our team and the culture of ownership and growth have stood out. It’s important to us that employees feel both challenged and supported, and we’re proud to see that reflected in your feedback. We recognize the unique challenges of a fully remote environment and continue to look for ways to foster visibility, connection, and cross-functional collaboration. As part of our growth, we’ve already taken steps to uplevel many of our teams, including Operations, to better support the business and our people. We appreciate your perspective and your contributions to the team.

Pros

- The talent at You.com is great. Everyone is passionate about what we're doing. - Growing company and endless opportunities to grow your skills/career. - Benefits are solid so the stage we are in, and I like seeing that as the company grows, benefit offerings are too.

Cons

Exec team is really tough. It is one of toughest groups I've worked with in my career. I feel comfortable talking in meetings with them, but a lot of the time I question why I do because they have their own goals. It's defeating because it feels like they include other voices to check a box. If the discussion isn't what they want to hear, they tune out and do what they want anyway. What ends up happening a lot of the time is leadership will run back to their teams when the problem hits, and many are too scared to say I told you so and work late hours to put out fires.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad to hear that you see strong talent across the team and are finding opportunities to grow your skills and career. As we continue to scale, we’ve been intentional about evolving our hiring practices to ensure we bring in the right experience across all functions—and we’re seeing the positive impact of that investment. We understand that working in a high-growth environment with ambitious leadership can feel intense at times. While our executive team sets a high bar, we also aim to foster open dialogue and cross-functional input that drives better outcomes. Feedback like yours is a helpful reminder of the importance of not only listening, but ensuring people feel heard. We appreciate your perspective and your commitment to our mission.
