      Pros

      Great coworkers, and decent office culture in the San Mateo office. Hardly any travel, which is a pro for me.

      Cons

      Heavy emphasis on sales and marketing. Need to be more upfront during recruiting about what this job actually entails. A lot of what we do doesn't really seem like consulting to me. Felt a little disillusioned coming straight out from undergrad.

      Pros

      ZS is a work had play hard firm with a young vibrant energy. People are incredibly bright without a lot of ego. ZS works incredibly hard to live up to its values and the leadership continually tries to grow the company the right way, doing the right thing, and treating people right.

      Cons

      People at ZS work hard and sometimes harder than they would like. The expectations are set high and play onto the high achieving mentality of most ZSers leading to long work hours and a fairly high ongoing stress level.

      Pros

      It is almost cliche...but "the people" are the best part of working at ZS. Generally speaking, people tend to be a little nerdy/quirky, but they are good, smart people and it creates a pretty fun work environment. The pay isn't amazing, but it is a good living -- and you have incredible job security. Consistent double-digit growth every year. You don't have crazy travel schedules like many consultants do.

      Cons

      No one outside of the healthcare industry has every heard of ZS so not much prestige, etc. The work can get repetitive (same clients, similar project types, same industry). It is hard to get a job outside of pharma after you leave (unless you go to b-school).
