What started out as a great company is now a mere shadow of itself despite being significantly bigger in size due to multiple mergers. On 4th group of top IT management in just over 2 years. Calling any of them leaders would be a great misnomer. Every new group tries to fix the mess that the previous one created without any understanding of how to do it or what the real problem is. What is totally amazing is that none of them wants to listen to the people who actually built this company and know how to make it right again. Instead they belittle and abuse the very people that made it possible for them to be employed by the company in the first place. So it’s no surprise that with every change in management things just keep getting worse. Every time you think that morale can’t get any lower, you’re proven wrong. With the latest change in IT leadership, sexism became rampant. Hard to believe it will ever get better unless the board does something drastic. It’s like a house of cards that may collapse at the first signs of trouble in the economy or its customer base.

Remote work to remove yourself from the toxic environment.

Cons

* They will NOT pay you unused vacation time when you resign * Boys club * People get chosen for new roles without the new role being posted on job boards. No equal opportunity * They cannot support current clients due to technical deficiencies * They hide issues from clients while trying to fix it and then let their staff face the client complaints * Incompetent systems integration specialists * So called leaders will shame you in front of an audience * No opportunities for advancement * No real mid and end of year review * No career path/goal setting process * They hire the first breathing body they interview for positions

Free food, sometimes from a food truck

Cons

There are a lot of little perks to working here but it is only to make up for rude managers, long hours, and a low salary. They need to restructure their organizational leadership.
