Pros

Ziff Davis does many good things for their employees: a generous insurance package, various employee resources groups, an employee assistance fund, and a mentoring program, to name a few. For those working remotely they do pay up to $50 toward your internet bill, so long as you claim the expense.

Cons

The pay is not quite on par for the industry, for example, level 2 support starts at $40K/yr, with raises being merit-based only, and only up to 8%. Remote teams seem to be an afterthought when it comes to "in-office" benefits like team parties or provided snacks and drinks. In fact 2022 winter holidays were all but forgotten, with the exception of days off with holiday pay, meaning there were no 2022 Christmas/holiday parties.

Pros

Excellent employee benefits especially if your state has imposed certain limitations and you need to travel. Very strong stance on positive help for people of color. Good on remote working (especially with the price of gas now).

Cons

We make a lot of profit but that doesn't seem to trickle down to employee pay rises

Pros

Remote. Annual bonus. Annual merit increases. Free health insurance. 401k match. $50 internet monthly reimbursement. Unlimited PTO. lots of additional work to learn 15 perfect off stock options

Cons

high turn over which causes more workload for those who stay. no salary adjustment for the additional workload from those who have left the company. not competitive pay. since the company is facing a high turn over, it's hard to know who does what. low employee retention. company stock is not doing well - not recommended to purchases. no cross training - one person does all kind of management which causes a lot burden on one's shoulders.
