- Company holds onto PTO days to cover Shop Shut Downs.
- 3rd shift differential is only 2.5% more than the 2nd shift. Currently 3rd shift is 12.5% which is at lease 7.5% below local market average.
- Very difficult to get cross training, or move around the company. They can't attract and retain new people to allow more experienced people to move around and grow.
- Outsource more than move within the company. On average always hiring 8 Production Machinist positions, but can't retain the people they have so they outsource.
- Bonuses are 1 time a year after the New Year, and are low average unless you work extra overtime.
- Raises are on average 2-2.5% once a year (less than cost of living pre-covid), with a max of 3%.
- Raises do not reflect employee contribution, experience or skills gained in training.
- Professional growth is geared to Office Personnel, there is no metric for a Machinist on the Shop Floor.
- Management has created an environment that doesn't encourage people to do better. Hard work and contribution goes unrewarded.
- Getting access to information needed for the job, benefits, or policy is harder than it needs to be.
- Severe lack of transparency when it comes to policies that impact Employees.
- Aspects of the training/on-boarding process are repetitive, and not always related to the task you perform.
- Mandatory Computer Training is not ESL or Neurodivergent supportive.
- Very strict and harsh attendance policy.
- Strong anti-harassment policy, but there is still discrimination on the shop floor towards women, LGBT identifying, and other minorities.
