Pros

HR is good at writing fake reviews. Free food at the end of the quarter. Commute is reverse the normal traffic flow Good people, ie. grunts on the sales floor

Cons

Too many to list. I'll list a few that are top of mind... Pay - low, low, low. SUCKS. No consistency in compensation plan. They must have changed it 3 times within a year, I swear! Systems and Processes - Archaic and ineffective. CRM system is crap and difficult to use. They need to hire some process analysts here because there doesn't seem to be any standard operating procedures in place. If you ask someone how to do something, you won't get a straight answer. Plus nothing works right. For the longest time my outlook said I didn't have a valid activation key. what the hell? Poor Management - good ole boys club and managers that can't manage. Don't expect any type of constructive coaching or teaching from your manager. Career progression is non-existent. If you're lucky, people on your team will quit or get fired and you'll inherit their accounts if you suck up enough. Business Vision - NONE Training - CRAP. Sales "Enablement" is an oxymoron. Vendor trainings are hit or miss. Large vendors are typically good - Dell, HP, Cisco, Adobe, VMWare, Lenovo. Small vendors seem to get lost in the shuffle and you need to figure it out yourself. Support - or lackthereof. Outsourced to Pakistan to put money in someone's pocket. You get the picture.

Pros

Pleasant enough work environment and people. Thats about it. Not a bad place to get your feet wet for a new college grad or if you 'need' a job.

Cons

Poor leadership: in general very condescending, unmotivating, favoritism throughout the organization. Lack competitive compensation, true corporate direction is unclear, no career path planning.

Pros

Job security, everyone is leaving so Zones can't afford to fire anyone. I work with numerous people that call in sick every other week and make mistakes daily that cost us business but nothing ever happens. The bar is so low at Zones you can do anything and you won't lose your job.

Cons

EVERYTHING. Seriously, everything is bad, I don't know what is the worse. The Owner/CEO of Zones is by far the biggest disgrace of a leader I've ever seen in 20 years in the IT Industry. Myself and many of my peers in upper management have been working all year without compensation plans which means we're not getting the bonuses promised to us and this guy has the audacity to stand in front of us and tell us we should feel proud that the profits we're generating enable him to offer scholarships to The London School of Economics. I can't even afford to pay my daughters tuition because of this company but our fearless leader is so detached from reality that he thinks we take pride in his philanthropy that comes at the cost of us paying our bills. He is fleecing our most important vendor partners by parading our sales team through daily "lunch and learns" so he can pocket that money which is supposed to be earmarked for sales enablement. We have layer upon layer of unneeded management who are solely concerned with reporting up to the owner, it is rare you find anyone in this organization that is focused on driving business or customer engagement. This company will not be around in two years, it can't be. The Owner/CEO wants to be a "solution" company while at the same time he is outsourcing all of our technical jobs to Pakistan. There should be a class at the London School of Economics to study Zones and how the effects of poor leadership can decimate a company and hundreds of people's jobs in a short amount of time.
