Its time to tell the truth about Zones
Pros
Good location... There were awesome people to work with at one point most of them have moved on from this place. Still holds some corporate structure so you can at least get an idea of what business is about.

The majority of the people left are just looking to get out. I have been with zones for a while and my time with this place is coming to an end. Senior management doesnt care about you me or customers all the care about is feeding their pocket books and this latest 40% stunt they pulled shows that. They hired a buffoon who has no sales experience nor experience in relationship sales to come in and lead the mid market sales floor the guys an idiot and most people dont know if they should stop drop and give him 20 or salute him when he walks by (complete military burnout) but he is excellent at sucking up so the CEO listens to him. Thats truly the biggest problem about Zones. The CEO has no vision and lacks any real business sense, in all honesty he is just some fool with a bunch of money who listens to and or steals everyone elses ideas albeit good or not. You want perspective? Look at the history of the CEO all he did and has ever done even since kits cameras is either steal someone else idea or piggy back on someone elses idea.. No ideas or plans have ever been executed well and it is always his lower end hard working employees who get the brunt of his failures. This place is a mess and is one of the most negative terrible places to work at this point.. It wasnt always bad at Zones, about 3 years ago something changed and it has been on a down slope ever since. I am not sure what it was but it had something to do with some sort of a fall out with their PPM department and manufactures no longer wanting to fund zones demands. Direct managers are losers and are lazy.. They want to pin their failures to manage properly on their teams but they dont want to do anything other than throw a rain king out at reps.... NO fools customer management needs to be held accountable I am sorry that this place is so cheap they wont hire a create a real customer management department that produces quality leads that we as reps can target. All we get is some name and a rain king and expected to make something of it. If it is a pile of junk it doesnt matter in the moron managers eyes it is somehow the sales rep fault. The pay at this place is wow just wow bad.. They now expect you to live basically on 35k a year and they want you to starting this year hit 40% of some goal they come up with that has no merit or bases off territory or account base just what they think you should be doing. Its asinine and directly reflects the senior managements greed and stupidity to manage the company properly. There is absolute 0 incentive to sell more at zones, people make jokes about sales jobs and sandbagging how it is better, most of the time it is satire not here with their plan you are better off sandbagging to make your months or now with their 40% there is no way to hit commission and you dont get paid.. You could make them 10 20 sometimes 30k in profit in a month and still get nothing from it. Zones worked for a lot of people there was a laid back experience for a long time and you could make some money. The horrid base pay was always something you could deal with because you still made commission from dollar one, not the case anymore and management is out of their minds if they think people are going to sit around and live with this plan they have shoved down our throats. Young fresh talent believe they were lied too in the hiring process and now feel stuck, I feel most sorry for them because they truly believed they could start a good career at this place and they were tricked by lying management and a shady HR department. Bottom line, this place isnt even worth the time.. Zones wants to be "one of the best companies" to work for, it will never ever ever happen the lies, control, and stupidity will always be there and will always prevent that. This is a caste system were the bottom people will always be blamed and treated like trash and made to feel they are not worth being payed or treated like professional sales reps. Head my warning just stay away folks by this summer this place will only employ either losers failures finger pointers backstabbers or the emotional broken who have been made to feel they cant do better. Thats not for me anymore and I would encourage you to steer clear, there are so many better places to start or continue a career this is just not worth it.
