Pros

you will learn a lot if you can survive at Zones you can survive almost anywhere I am thankful for everything I learned working at Zones. The training was beyond awesome. I don't regret working for them at all. I am where I am today due to all of the years I worked there.

Cons

Most managers are checked out and just going through the motions. So much busywork that does nothing but take your time away from building your business or making the company money. You work hard to make the relationships with your customers and once a year they take some of your buying accounts to give them to other reps. You can only work the accounts in your book of business. When you create a relationship with an mfg or customer and they want to give you a referral it will always go to someone else. They change not only your book of business every year but your compensation as well. They wait till the last minute to tell you what the new comp plan is and then they date it back to the beginning of the previous month or that month. You are not given your legal right to decide if you want to continue working with that comp plan as they have already back-dated it. They have one of the most restrictive contracts for non-compete, non-solicitation of customers, and non-solicitation of employees. There is a really strong good ol' boy mentality at Zones. You are treated like a number, not an individual.

Pros

There are some really great co workers you can meet.

Cons

The management here is the worst compared to anything I’ve ever seen. They do not care about the product, the customers, or the employees. They only care about the bottom line. The metrics and their bonus checks. Staff are overworked and under payed. Constant increases in workload with no appropriate wage compensation. A toxic environment with Team leads watching your every move and an unhealthy level of micromanagement. Management lies to get you to believe Microsoft truly is enforcing the policy’s they display. They’ll fire you for anything. Doesn’t matter if you’re knowledgeable and skilled within the position. You’re an easy replacement if you’re not going to fill their pockets enough. Benefits are trash

Pros

I’m still able to work from home

Cons

Many of my colleagues have been furloughed. Meanwhile, most of us, who are left to salvage the remnants, are instructed to make up that work. We were told that we weren’t eligible for raises; killed our bonus structure per usual despite the 5x workload that the company has given us. We are expected to sell at a rate that is unrealistic in today’s climate. We are inclined to be “grateful” to work despite losing resources and people who we’ve worked with for so long. No time to grieve those losses, just keep pushing for the small paycheck that we receive.
