Pros

You get to work in the Willis Tower… there's a lot of cool places to go near by, and it seems like there's always movies being filmed around the corner. The office is only a year old so it's still kind of small. You're not alone, everyone feels your pain so you always have someone to bond with. Honestly, I want to like working here, because I see the potential in the company and my book of business. And I know sales is going to be difficult wherever you go, but it's hard to get past some of the cons. I think it's great that Murray Wright transitioned from his position at TechData to become our new CEO. For that I'm keeping optimistic, because I want to see where he will take the company.

Cons

Management is too focused on activity (dials, talk time), but then the people who put in the work and are still not improving aren't being offered the help they need. Instead, management will invest much of their time on people who are doing well. There is no follow through in the company, for example, management will have great ideas for objectives or ways of improving, but then their optimism dissipates within the next hour. This is most likely do to the fact that they have way too much on their plate. HR is a little gossipy, I would't trust them with anything personal. We used to have a suggestion box… Company doesn't really know what to do with the Chicago location. Many of the employees are straight out of college, and I don't think the company understands what it takes to keep Gen Y employees loyal. There's no place to relax, the office is beige, you sit in a cubicle, and you are given scheduled breaks.

Pros

Free food that (although it does look like the leftovers the store didnt sell earlier in the day) Some work life balance but that seems to be fading fast with the new CEO.

Cons

This company is flat out set up to make sure the upper management gets filthy rich and you dont... I have never worked at a place that calls itself a professional office that has such micromanagement... Might as well be a telemarketing center in India with the way employees are paid and micromanaged. You will constantly be questioned and have a manager peeking over your shoulder at this job. Not a place for professional sales reps more of a place for phone monkeys than anything else. You will be treated like garbage and expected to just take it...... Also BE WEARY OF THEIR BOGUS NON COMPETE. That is just an excuse to keep employees from landing better jobs and getting out of this death trap.
