Pros

The culture at Zoom is as good as they say. Most everyone is proud to work here, and strives to support each other to make a really great product for our customers. The benefits are amazing, and the company truly cares about your wellbeing, which is pretty rare these days in Silicon Valley.

Cons

Growing pains as they become a large company. Headcount has doubled in the last year, and so there is a lot of change happening in a short amount of time, and everyone is trying to keep up. So far it feels like we are on the right track, but there is a risk that the growth causes some long term damage. Also, if you work with the engineering team, it is difficult to coordinate overlapping working hours without overworking yourself, because the majority of the engineering team is located in China. Things get lost in translation very often, which can be frustrating.

Pros

Zoom is an amazing product! And the Growth potential here is so substantial that if you have the opportunity to be here and be part of the team it is definitely going to return dividends in regards to experience and growth in your long term career. Also, Eric is one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The leadership being brought in from other competitors is doing a great job of challenging the "original reps'" thoughts and way of doing things and it is exciting to see.

Cons

It is never enough, leadership and management always want more, more, more. If you hit 120% they want 150% to make up for those who couldn't achieve the goal. If you are working 10 hours they would LOVE IT if you worked 15 hours and weekends if you can manage it. It is always a message of all hands on deck, now is not the time to rest, never is the time to rest! They leave it "up to the individual" to take time for themselves but then tell the sales team that if they take time off to make it up after you return and work extra to make up for the time off.

Pros

- Competitive salary, commissions, & benefits - Great team environment - Company culture is the best I've been apart of - Internal growth/promotion opportunities - You believe in what you're selling - the product is amazing - Eric Yuan

Cons

The company is growing so rapidly so there is a LOT of change from quarter to quarter (as expected). As long as management continues to be as transparent as possible, this is nothing to be too worried about.
