      Terrible New Sales Leadership SMB and Commercial

      This group used to be amazing and now we are loosing people almost every day because of a new class of leaders on the SMB and Commercial teams. It is unfortunate to see the former high up leaders leave and new ones brought in from boys club networks. The previous heads of this team were great. The new leader at the top is calculated and cutthroat. It is not great to see Zoom take this path and people should know about it. DOES NOT RECOMMEND

      Pros

      Managers genuinely care and want the best for their team members. Fairly easy to get KPI’s & quotas. Fair pay for BDR role. Solid benefits and wellness reimbursement.

      Cons

      Hard to be promoted internally, especially going outside of the sales org. More interested in hiring externally. Much lower pay for internal promotions than external new hires. Nepotism is alive and well, high level employees continuously coming and going, most of which have worked with other executives in the past. Butt missing culture… if you want to be promoted, you’ll have to wow the right people and go out of your way to “impress” and prove yourself (even if you have a good record of quota attainment and work ethic. Constant changes in leadership, territories, and alignments. Some folks have it much easier than others. Very difficult to become comfortable and grow in the role.
