After the recent layoffs they implemented a compensation plan with decelerators and reduced bonuses. The average AE will see a 10-20% reduction in overall compensation. The majority of the BDRs were let go in the layoffs. Why? Although the products are generally good, the marketing is poor across the board. Expect few if any qualified leads. Sales is heavily favored towards VAST teams. Upselling is much easier than greenfield accounts. Leadership doesn’t seem to care about parity.
