Upper management
High turnover rate in middle and upper management leads to chaos.
Not being heard
Favoring the opinions of medically uneducated managers over medically trained, licensed clinicians.
High turnover rate of clinicians and clinic staff.
Management team routinely focused on minutia while avoiding real problems. I was harassed continuously in meetings that took me away from my work and wasted my time for not wanting to do sales pitches to sick patients when they were checking in or out of their appointments. I declined to do sales pitches in healthcare based on having integrity and valuing the patients over profit. Instead of simply understanding my boundaries, I was routinely bullied and harassed for having integrity. At one point management came to my clinic and asked me if I knew what issue they were called there to talk to me about. Apparently they were not informed as to what the meeting they had called me in for was about. A form of intimidation through chaos, Upper management represented chaos and incompetence. In the time I was there we had three CEOs. Consistently being replaced because they didn't meet the demands of their stockholders who consistently put profit over peoples health. The majority of upper management consisted of people who had no medical background. Who came from other industries, not related to healthcare with more experience in retail and sales.
