Pros

some talented and nice people, good food, good location, nice building, DOGS

Cons

unlimited vacation is a lie (trust me, expect just 2 weeks if that), expect to work weekends and late nights more than you'd want to, lots of turnover because people get burnt out, immature leadership - middle managers actually lie to subordinates regularly to make themselves look better to upper management

Pros

Well rewarded for hard work, it will take huge reserves of energy and time, but you can do and learn a lot if you can hack it. Well paid and good benefits. Great colleagues.

Cons

Unless you kiss up to the right people then all that hard work and recognition can be flushed out of the company with little consideration by apparently ignorant company level management. Entire game teams can be cut, with no smart decisions about who might be worth keeping.

Micromanagement at its best

Pros

Free Food Benefits Pay Gym Coffee The people that work in the service of Zynga ex. culinary are the best people I have had the pleasure of interacting with.

Cons

Lots of favoritism and unfairness thrown in peoples faces. If you are well liked the skys the limits here. The tip to succeed at Zynga is to be a good talker. Talk a lot, but do very little. Good intentions with no follow through go well here. A lot of bad talking and unprofessional comments spoken out loudly for people around to hear by management. Huge egos and passive aggressive behavior from upper management. Inconsistent planning and misleading talks about the future Micromanaging nightmare Crappy games Lots of lay offs Steal ideas from other games that have proven track records. No desire for innovation Greedy game makers. Its all about money here. If you are creative person go somewhere else.
