Pros

Was an alright first step into the Industry- depending on team there are some willing to share great knowledge that can help further you along for a career in gaming. Some great people working the day-to-day who genuinely care for their coworkers and furthering positive missions as much as allowed.

Cons

Poor compensation for roles in comparison to other industry standards and general workload. Horrible upper management with little to no communication, transparency, or general skill in their roles. Fostered a crunch environment for many initiatives that never were seen through, and turned an eye to negative team cultures. Extremely large turnover in certain departments, lack of historical knowledge and documentation made things difficult. Poor work/life balance with unusually large workloads. Games made all feel disingenuous and not exciting. Often a quick cash-grab. Many games are looking for quick revenue vs being creative (not a deal breaker, but can matter to some).

Pros

Handled the pandemic really well, great benefits, good about not requiring people to work late, the people on my team are great to work with. Stable employment -- many people have been here for 5+ years

Cons

Feeling a bit rushed. As cons go it's definitely not the worst, and producers are doing a good job, but it feels like there is no downtime for investigating long term solutions to problems, which can lead to some burnout bc you are always rushing from one project to the next and trying to figure out solutions on the fly

Pros

- Leadership knows how to steer the company in a profitable direction. - Relatively stable. - Strong culture of interdisciplinary collaboration. - Excellent data science and consumer insights practices for mobile games. - Good company perks. - Good work life balance.

Cons

- There's definitely a glass ceiling for women who want to reach leadership levels above specific game teams. - Product Managers have too much control over all aspects of game development. - Very difficult to move up in your career or increase salary if you're not a PM or Engineer.
