Thank you for sharing your perspectives about working at iHerb. Pros

Gym, Free snacks (when they have them), company activities. Cool Co-Workers

Cons

Take my word for it. Dont work here. If you choose to ignore this advice at least you can say you were warned. I was warned by other recruiters to avoid this place. I did not listen. Bad idea on my part. Inexperienced and unbelievably ridiculous management. I could write a book detailing how pathetic this place is but wont. I will write 3 words. Avoid this place. Read the other reviews on here from iHerb IT workers. They are having a tough time filling roles here. The word is getting out about the work environment. iHerb is getting a bad reputation. Ask around. There is a comment I hear sometimes from Mgmt and co-workers and that is iHerb is not for everyone. Believe it! Watch out if they try to sell you on Flex time and unlimited time off. I heard a person who works here wanted time off for his honeymoon and they said NO!! True story, I have heard other requests for time off are denied. My other co-worker asked for one day off Mgmt said no. Almost all senior management is Iranian. They have strong desire to hire and to put Iranians in key positions. So if you are Iranian apply.

Thank you for leaving your review and it seems you are having a different experience working for iHerb as other employees. . iHerb is a diverse environment which values people of different creeds & races from all over. FTO is exactly as stated in the employee handbook and it is per a manager’s discretion to approve or deny based on the needs of the projects

Pros

Nice Owner who cares about employees and takes the time to listen. Free drinks and Fruit. Most employees are great hardworking people.

Cons

HR does not take the time to listen to employee issues. Especially when they are with one of the horrible Middle Eastern Directors who take micro management to a whole new level. You say you want to hire "the best employees who have years of experience in the field" yet when you bring them in you micro manage them to the point that it is a hostile and stressful work environment. Before I left I spoke with several people (management and non-management) who shared the same feelings and want out as well.
