Pros

The only Pros to working at this place were SOME cool co-workers & the vending machine selection

Cons

-Unethical and Illogical practices - Conspiring Supervision - Blatant Favoritism - Constant System Outage -Encouragement of Violation of F D C P A -Low Balling wages -Not "Unlimited" income potential, they will re-shape commission structure if you make to much (if you're a consumer wait for it, they WILL mess up make sure you record your calls) The list could go on for ever, here's an example of the constant F D C P A violations that are overlooked "Allied Interstate Inc., a large Minnesota debt collection agency with a history of consumer complaints and state fines, has agreed to pay $1.75 million to settle federal allegations that it broke the law by trying to collect debts people didn't owe. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) said it is the second-largest civil penalty it has obtained against a debt collection firm." Furthermore, I worked there for 3 months and did rather well on my team. In spite of that they told me I was being moved to a new project to help it get out of the water due to my Skip-tracing ability. I Performed at 1st place on this new team as well in spite of them plundering the work I had done on the previous team, After several supervision mishaps (there was a memo handed out to a team that was getting our inbound calls to transfer the calls to two specific collectors on our team during tax time thus monopolizing the accounts into their pockets) as an example. After awhile our supervisor got so tiered of upper management breathing down his neck he became a collector. There were "call goals" in place that certain people did not have to adhere to based on favoritism while whomever they didn't like would have their bonus taken. For some time after that we had the Supervisor's Bosses assistant supervising for a whole month, this chick had never collected a day in her life nor could she, yet she was allowed to make decisions which effected your income. After a month they decided to move "L" onto our team, This wretch had 4 out of 10 people left from her old team due to her despicable demeanor (cant blame her, mid 40's and still collection supervisor). Sure enough the heads started rolling, to start with on the team we had about 4500 total accounts to go between 10 people, she decides to segment the debt and split it up "evenly" at her discretion. This is not what happened, for instance if you located a consumer & discussed arrangements however say they needed a call back in two weeks to get a debit card and this happened to exceed the 2 weeks L seen fit to allow you to work an account, it would Magically find itself to the route of a girl on our team who's mom L happened to be friends with. So what ends up happening is you spend time and effort locating a consumer, discussing arrangements just so someone else can get credit, the argument was posed by upper management that we would be getting our co-workers "HOT" accounts in turn and it would be made even, but ANYONE who has any common sense knows not everyone on a team gives anywhere near the same effort, so in essence what ends up happening is someone else gets to take credit for your work, which later you are "Reviewed" against your peers performance which was bolstered by your work efforts thus resulting in lowered wages for you and possibly even being fired at some point. Make sure you apply if you like to work against yourself. This company is totally illogical and i would give it less than 0 stars if I could. Take it from me do yourself a favor and head down the road to the next agency, this place is doomed. I recall being pulled into an office and told this is not a JOB and to consider it a career due to my performance, a week later they pulled me in an office for a "Random drug test" that they selected 100 employees from a list and gave NO prior notice whatsoever that even a random test was taking place...which was a state statutory violation. I Could go on for hours about things but you get the idea. Good luck.
