Pros

In my opinion, mabl is a really great place to work and feel recognized and supported every day. The product is strong with a few big competitors and there is a lot of work right now on differentiating our product and focusing development on competitive features. The roadmap is clear and the vision is focused. There is a ton of support if you need help or have ideas and no hierarchical barriers. I also feel the cofounders are very approachable and supportive. The culture is nice and everyone in the company is kind supportive and empathetic. There are a lot of benefits in the office but also for remote workers including 200 dollars a month that you can spend on various things like gym or commute. We frequently have fun events such as espresso martinis after work or trivia and they recently brought the whole company to Falmouth for a whole day of company sponsored events. Its a really fun company if you want to participate in in person, but they also are very inclusive of anyone who would prefer not to. In terms of diversity and inclusion, my experience at mabl has been completely opposite than some of the other reviews on here. As a woman on the sales team I haven't seen anything except support from the rest of the team. As for the company overall, I've never worked at a company more focused on DEI and the CEO is directly involved in the overall initiatives. I personally feel leadership truly cares about DEI. I will say I think there was a lot of change in sales leadership and the overall team before I started last year so perhaps things are just different now, but I can say there is no sexism or negativity at all from my experience on the sales team today. Work life balance has been great for me although I can only speak for the GTM side. No micro management and just the expectation you get your work done on your own terms. Unlimited vacation and easy to take time when you need it.

Cons

Rapid growth company isn't for everyone and mabl is growing the team quickly meaning a lot of new members ramping up. There are a few things the product just cannot do that main competitors can, so when you come up against one of these use cases it can be difficult to sell

Pros

Company: The company has built a product that customers love. I think this is a particularly exciting time in the company’s history, as it’s scaling in many ways to meet growing demand in the market. Leadership: Dan and Izzy are incredible co-founders who have the experience and drive to lead the company successfully. Beyond that, they are incredibly transparent about top level company strategy, which provides opportunity to learn outside of your primary role. My experience with managers was incredibly valuable as well. I always felt supported, and I received feedback and new opportunities to help me grow in my career. Talented Peers: The engineering team has many talented senior engineers, including experts in machine learning, cloud computing, front-end development and browser automation. Since the engineering team is still fairly small, it's easy to learn from these experts. Supportive Culture: Collaboration is at the heart of how mabl operates, and whenever you need help with anything, everyone is always more than willing to lend a hand. When you do ask for help, too, people don’t just stop and help you solve the immediate problem, they typically spend the time to teach you about what’s really going on, so you're better prepared for the next challenge. Time spent helping others, and mentoring new people is recognized as real work and is valued by leadership. Growth Opportunities: With the company scaling as it is, there are a lot of leadership opportunities, even for engineers earlier in their career. It’s easy to get involved in hiring, DEI initiatives, and event planning. Additionally, leadership is generally supportive if you want to learn a new technical skill, and will usually help you get on a related project, if possible.

Cons

As an engineer, sometimes the on-call shifts can be a bit busy. I think there’s work being done to improve this, but there are sometimes weeks where there is a lot of activity. Sometimes, documentation for certain processes doesn’t exist, or more often, is tough to find or is a little bit outdated. I think there’s also work to improve this, but this is a challenge as the company is scaling, and things change/improve quite rapidly. Pay/benefits are competitive considering the company size and market, but it’s less than what you would expect at a much larger company.
