Changed after going public

Pros

This was the best place I've worked at prior to the public IPO. Fantastic culture. Super smart people. The people on my team genuinely cared about each other and the success of the company. It felt like the company cared about its employees too.

Cons

Everything changed after they went public. The culture quickly eroded, and it became just another big-corporation chasing the almighty dollar at the expense of the people working there.

Thank you for posting your review. You are correct that when a company decides to go public, there are some changes that have to be made to meet certain standards and expectations. That is simply an output of the tremendous growth and success of nCino. What hasn't changed? We hear from so many of our employees that nCino is the best place they have ever worked. nCino has a fantastic culture that continues to surpass our expectations on employee retention and our ability to attract exceptional talent who want to work for a smart, innovative, growth company. We have super smart people who amaze our customers with the products and services that we deliver to the global market. And we have a global team of people who genuinely care about each other and the success of the company. At nCino we care about our employees and we strive to provide a great working environment that allows them to reach their financial and career goals and effectively integrate their work and personal lives. Are we perfect? Absolutely not and we continue to work on our opportunity areas so that we can continue to grow as a company. Our nCino alumni are important to us. We hope you have found a new opportunity that provides you everything you felt you were missing and we thank you for the time you spent at nCino. All the best in your future career endeavors!

Pros

- Good PTO - Good healthcare, benefits overall - Culture isn't terrible

Cons

- No home office any more (unless you are lucky to live far enough from their offices) - Culture feels feels fake often (we are so special, unique, changing the world, leading the industry, bla-bla-bla), but I guess every corporation is like that.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review and we appreciate you sharing those items that you feel are the most value to our employees. We are at a point now in our back to office strategy that we no longer feel the need to defend it. Our attrition has not spiked because of it, nor have we had any trouble identifying exceptionally talented individuals to join the company since making the decision. We recognize that the back to office decision may not resonate with everyone's career aspirations and we respect that fact. But for nCino, back to office is getting the company back to the culture we were before the pandemic. Thank you again for your feedback. We appreciate you!

Great culture but it is fading as the company grows

Pros

Everyone is very nice and super open to answering any and every question you have. They have free snacks tho they have decrease in quality as the company grows. Benefits are great, healthcare with no premiums although there is still a copay.

Cons

The culture has become harder to sustain as the company grows with more emphasis put on reach mile markers. The in person first standard did not improve the culture at all in my opinion if anything it made this job feel more stressful.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review and we are so pleased that you recommend the company to others. The back to office decision was a challenging one as I'm certain it has been for so many companies who are moving back to an in office approach to work. We recognize that decision may not appeal to all but we made a decision that we felt was the best for the company and one that would bring us back to the approach and culture that existed prior to the pandemic and made the company so successful. And we hope that our employees will feel that we treat them well during all times, not just the hard times. Thank you again - we appreciate you and all you do!
