Direct team is great! Higher-ups, not so much.

Pros

- The direct team and leadership were amazing and beyond supportive in every aspect. I truly felt like I had a family with them and never hesitated to reach out for help. I stayed as long as I did because of them. - Health insurance, PTO, HSA, in-office perks, work/home balance, etc. are all great. - Remote flexibility during COVID-19 was wonderful.

Cons

- Going public changed the direction of the company's priorities (at least, the priorities they made public to us). - Executive leadership doesn't seem to care about employee's concerns - we were told to leave if we didn't like something instead of them listening to our concerns and actually considering them. - Pay is incredibly low compared to same job descriptions with other remote-only companies. I left to perform the same job functions at another company for close to a 50% increase in pay. - I've seen so many rockstar employees be forced to leave because the company refuses to pay them what they're worth. - Growth on a company level seems to be a priority only to departments that bring in revenue. Other departments struggle due to not being allowed larger budgets as the company grows.

Pros

Beautiful working environment. Great co-workers.

Cons

Upper management has changed in a very negative way. Totally out of touch with the employees and they don't seem to care that it is showing. After all the hard work during the pandemic years, employees are now forced with commutes, and sitting in a cubicle and/or worried about the next layoff to come while the new good old boys executive team counts their millions in compensation.

nCino Response

Thank you for your review. Like many other companies, nCino made the decision to return to the office now that we felt it was safe for our employees to do so. The focus on the health and well-being of our employees guided us in our decisions to immediately get our employees out of the office environment and to their respective homes so that they could work safely. There was never a promise that a permanent work from home scenario would be offered. In fact, being together and collaborating in real time to deliver innovative, best-in-class products and services to our customers has been the secret to our past success. And, it is the secret to our on-going success. We recognize that not every employee will agree with our decision, but yet the decision has been made and we have received far greater positive comments about the renewed energy of the company and the stronger sense of community our colleagues are feeling as they have come back to the office. Yes, we have had some who felt that the decision didn't align to what they were wanting in their job, such as yourself. We are so glad that you found another opportunity that does align with your needs as we never want our employees to be dissatisfied. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

It’s oversold

Pros

Co-workers are wonderful people and make the day worthwhile. Truly some of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with.

Cons

HR or others are writing one good review for every bad to maintain their average. This culture is mostly people drinking after working hours - no thanks! Calling PTO a compensation but if you take it then it degrades your utilization average which affects merit and promotion. Changing from hybrid / remote work to mandatory in office was a blow below the belt. There are recordings of leadership stating they wouldn’t force anyone back to the office but it feels like the money spent on the new building is requiring a return from investors. Leadership contradicts themselves often, back peddle often, and it comes off weak. Falling stock prices after executives sold off large portions.
