Pros

They have a way of attracting some of the most down-to-earth and genuinely decent human beings. The colleagues and friends I've made along the way are of the highest caliber. Some sales and CS leaders actually care while Execs could care less. CEO has always been great but seems to have taken his hands off the wheel a bit.

Cons

C-suite execs are running the company into the ground. Don't provide any real guidance on achieving targets or value on customer calls. Sales leadership has changed 3-4 times in the last 3 years and they never blame the lack of continuity or poor interim leadership for their poor performance. HR leader is terrible, says they are there to support employees and their career goals but could care less about any real career advancement and are only there to protect the company. Provided no warning to existing customers of a price change, moved the goalpost a few times now on what contracts qualify for support, and are nickel & diming what should be a basic functionality of the software. Many original nToppers that built the company have either been forced out or left. Their foothold on the industry and their customers is slipping and it's obvious.

Great People, Culture, Benefits.... and a Killer Product

Pros

nTop has done the work to bring in strong, experienced and strategic talent to the executive team. It has been a year with a lot of change but that change is driving us to be a more innovative, successful company. The team is full of helpful, incredibly intelligent, brilliant minds and I have honestly had so much fun solving some of the most complex design problems with this talented team. You'll always be learning at nTop. The company really takes time to listen to our concerns and as many other reviews share here, has top of the line benefits (excellent and free to inexpensive Aetna plans) which includes IVF coverage among others.

Cons

If you've ever worked at a start up there is always a lot of change as the company scales and many of the concerns others have raised here are the growing pains of a company becoming an SMB. I am impressed at how transparent the leadership has been around our numbers, strategy and plans for efficient growth. There are bumps along the way but we are figuring them out and managing them.

Poor upper management, low company morale

Pros

Great software Remote work Flexibility

Cons

This company is doomed by the executive team. As others on here have said, the CEO has left the day to day operations in the hands of his leadership team. The problem is the leadership team doesn’t know the first thing about running a company. They overhired sales people who can’t hit their targets and had to lay off people in other departments. There is constant layoffs, high turnover and just overall poor morale. If you disagree with the leadership or aren’t one of their favorites then expect to be treated like garbage. The have a pattern of toxic behavior and the so called CEO doesn’t seem to care. CEO needs to take a long, hard look at EVERY SINGLE ONE of his operations leaders and their past and current behavior. Either shut down the company or bring in a whole new executive team save it.
