      Pros

      Very Ethical company, Very,big, Pay is fair

      Cons

      All about money, moving more businesses out of the US. To many layers of management. Very limited communication between company groups. Don't have a customer ( Mom/Pa ) relationship with customers. Employees are not thought of as a key role in the success. All about management- Poor. Sounds great but run in the opposite direction

      Typical large corporation- difficult to change the direction of a large heavy ship New good ideas hard to implement - requires persistence, convincing the right people, lots of work. Be prepared to do what is necessary to make your visions realized.

      Good Engineering Job (Depending on division you're in)

      Pros

      On Semiconductor does a great job of shipping lots of commodity parts. The division I worked in was involved in designing custom chips for different industries (ASICs) which kept the design work interesting.

      Cons

      Division targets (goals) were out of the control of the workers. Also layoffs would occur depending on the strength of the entire company regardless of the needs/successes of the divisions. Seems like working shorthanded is the new trend in "efficiency".
