Pros

There are some very nice people that work at symplr.

Cons

Except for the President of Sales, Nicole, the entire leadership team should be let go. Leadership makes changes without reason other than to overrule the other leaders. No process that stays in place, no buy-in from leadership to better employees. Rebranding constantly. No two teams are in sync.

Pros

Pay was decent, flex time, benefits

Cons

Grew way too fast which lead to a ton of turnover in product, support and customer success. Product leadership team had no real plan. They would just keep promoting this fully integrated vision that was never going to come to life. Would say we had new updates/releases coming for specific products but that was either a lie or it would be extremely delayed. Customers were growing increasingly frustrated with us and constantly threatening to switch vendors. Makes it tough to sell when you have little confidence in what you're promoting and always on customer escalation calls.

Pros

* Option to work remotely (a definite plus during the pandemic) * Some transparency from the c-suite, better than most companies I've worked for * Management is excited about what they do

Cons

symplr has diversity issues that they are not addressing. Opportunities for advancement are based on the personal judgement of management, which often overlooks women, racially disadvantaged minorities, and LGBTQ individuals. I believe their diversity problem isn't intentional, but with no career paths, no listed responsibilities for success at your role, and limited leadership opportunities only given out to certain employees that are in the "Good Old Boys" club, advancement at symplr is more about how popular you are with management, rather than your achievements. This company is a good place to get some experience for a year or two, but unless you're in the club, do not expect to rise in the ranks.
