Hundreds gather in Atlanta to 'Step Out' against diabetes
What better place to have our first Step Out Walk of 2025 than Hawai'i?! Team ADA showed up strong along with nearly 600 walk participants in Kapi'olani Park at the edge of Waikīkī. Great to see the community come together with big energy and team spirit to help in the fight to end diabetes. More Step Out Walks are on the way! Diabetes is the leading cause of vision loss in people 18–64 years old, so helping people access the vision care they need is extremely important. Our team, working with Genentech, brought together community leaders, researchers, health care professionals of many kinds, and people who shared their personal experiences with vision loss and eye health challenges related to diabetes. It was a powerful day. We love what we do at the ADA!

Cute alert! We recently got together virtually for our National Pet Day celebration to show off our pets. They are an important part of our extended ADA family, and we had so much fun getting to know each other's animals and the stories behind each one. Our second exclusive screening of ImPossible was held recently at the historic Lobo Theater in Albuquerque, NM, made possible by the Collaboration for Equitable Health. Throughout the movie and during the panel discussion, we were all inspired by co-writer and actor Brandon Lewis' courage and resilience in his health journey. The 2025 Tour de Cure Florida brought together over 600 dedicated riders and countless supporters for an inspiring day of cycling and community at Lake Nona. The passion and energy of everyone involved made this year’s Tour a powerful reminder of our shared commitment to fighting diabetes.
