What does it look like to grow as a manager at EF? Pretty colorful, actually. At EF, stepping into a leadership role is just the beginning. We invest in our managers through a program called The Very Colorful Book: a 9-month, globally designed training built specifically for EF's culture. Here's what makes it different: - Managers from 40+ countries and 30+ divisions come together in person at EF’s historical 700-year-old estate in England, Ashridge House. - Think role-plays with professional actors, real feedback, and hands-on skill-building. - Build a global network of peers and tools to use with your team right away. - Learn everything from self-awareness and hiring to coaching, feedback, and leadership presence. - Facilitated by senior leaders and faculty with 30+ years of experience. EF is the kind of place that gives people real responsibility early and then actually prepares them for it. Follow us for more stories, open roles, and an inside look at building a career at EF.
What do rooftop yoga, origami, and a cycling champion have in common? They're all part of May at EF! In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, colleagues joined EF Wellness Week: rooftop yoga, bike rides, community walks, and more. We believe wellbeing and great work go hand in hand. We also celebrated Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Our API @ EF community hosted a virtual cooking event making Filipino sinigang and an origami workshop. Plus, we sat down with EF Cyclist Luke Lamperti to hear what it takes to be a champion. Follow us on Instagram and LinkedIn for more!
We’re proud to share that EF has been named on the Forbes World’s Best Employers list for the second year in a row! This recognition is a reflection of the people who make EF what it is: a global community of passionate, talented colleagues who show up every day to open the world through education. Our award-winning culture is built by them, every single day. To celebrate, we asked some of our creative colleagues to try designing posters in Microsoft Paint to share the good news. Check out the results!
April is Earth Month, and at EF, our commitment to caring for the planet is at the core of who we are. Across our offices, colleagues are taking part in river cleanups and clothing swaps, to “plogging" which is a Swedish fitness trend that turns your run into a litter-pickup mission! (Yes, it’s exactly as fun as it sounds.) We also came together globally to hear directly from our reforestation partner, WeForest, to hear updates from our agroforestry project in the Mahale Mountains of Tanzania. Did you know EF is supporting WeForest to grow 3 million trees? But what does sustainability look like from the inside? We believe where we work matters, and have committed to creating sustainable spaces across EF. Join our team making the world a better place.

EF careers are different. Meet Jon, Program Director for EF High School Exchange Year who started working as an intern in 2008, and now has had a career which has sent him to visit 26 countries and counting. His secret to success? “I have fun at work. I’ve laughed every single day in the last 16 years at EF. And I think it’s important that we find humor in what we do and find friendship in the people that we spend so much time with every single day.” On how to grow a career at EF? “If you are interested in a different team or a different area of the business, there is always an opportunity to shadow and talk to people and get projects in that field to understand how things work. Saying yes at EF can get you very far. It can get you to a new country and open doors to really amazing new friendships.” Jon’s EF Journey: ➡️ 2008: Summer intern in Boston while studying at Bates College ➡️Operations Coordinator in Boston ➡️2011: Travel Support team in Boston ➡️2015: Started a new International Admissions team in Berlin ➡️2018: Moved to London and now working as Program Director
