With 34 years of military and industry space operations experience, Mike Assid joins FTI as Vice President Strategic Account Executive for Space. He is the senior Reservist at US Space Force’s (USSF) Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), one of three Field Commands in USSF, where he advises and assists STARCOM’s 2-star Commander in the formulation USSF-wide training and education policy, and recommendations to the Chief of Space Operations and the Commander, United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) on force structure and warfighting employment strategy. A graduated Squadron and Space Operations Group Commander, his experience with Satellite Communications, Offensive and Defensive Space Electromagnetic Warfare, and Space Aggressor Operations provides him with a unique opportunity to leverage FTI’s discriminating technology-enabled services to expand and develop FTI’s footprint supporting USSF’s and USSPACECOM’s most critical missions.

Did you know that FTI employees based on the Space Coast serve not only our U.S. Space Force customers but also support the technology used by the U.S. Air Force, Army and Navy? Last month, our Florida-based FTI team enjoyed lunch together in the beautiful sunshine.
FTI’s Project and Program Managers gathered in Huntsville, AL for a 2-day PM Bootcamp to learn foundational PM skills, including how to plan and execute a project through its entire life cycle. Attendees also enjoyed the opportunity to network and share best practices with FTI PM peers in person. Thank you to FTI’s rock star PMs for an engaging and fun bootcamp!
FTI was very fortunate to have the opportunity to sponsor a Colorado School of Mines Computer Science Field Session project in the fall. Throughout the project, our FTI employees met weekly with eight exceptionally talented computer science students, helping guide them in building two virtualized data communication networks. At the end of the semester, our student teams presented their project findings and experience to their class. FTI is extremely proud of the students' hard work, dedication, and accomplishments throughout the duration of the project. We'd like to thank Colorado School of Mines for giving FTI the opportunity to participate in the field session and our incredible FTI employees who worked closely with the students.
