Last week, in celebration of Black History Month, FTI had the pleasure of having historian, consultant, trainer, and artist Harvey Bakari as a guest host for our FTI Brown Bag event, where he shared insights into the history and importance behind Black History Month. Harvey has also been gracious enough to come back this week, to participate in FTI on the Air, our internal podcast where Harvey will answer all our employees' questions from the event! We’d like to thank everyone who attended this important event and Harvey for informing and enriching us with your expert knowledge.
This past week, FTI kicked off our Total Wellness Program, designed to provide our employees with the tools and resources they need to promote total well-being. Offering opportunities to promote healthy lifestyles to our employees has always been extremely important to FTI and has been the focus of many of our company initiatives. We are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Nike, Peloton, and Calm to provide employees with options that support a healthy lifestyle while positively affecting the body, the heart, and the mind every day.

Over this past month, FTI held our Annual Seasons of Giving initiative, partnering with Toys for Tots on its 75th anniversary to raise toys and money for children whose parents may not be able to afford to provide them for the holiday. For every gift donated by our generous FTI employees, FTI’s Charity Committee, the 4th C Committee, donated an additional $25 to this organization. In addition, FTI also supported many local organizations including, the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Community Support Center in Dayton, Bootstraps of Beverly, and the Foster Children’s Alliance (FOCAL) of Madison County giving back to our local communities and families so they can enjoy this holiday season! We are so proud of our employees for helping us raise close to $40,000 for the various organizations we supported this holiday season. Thank you for making a difference and for directly impacting over 700 lives from your giving hearts!

A couple weeks ago, FTI's Operational Leaders participated in FTI's 3-Day Project Management Bootcamp taught by Project Management Academy (PMA). A core tenet of our culture is developing our people, and we are investing heavily in that area as our business continues to grow. We'd like to thank the instructors at the Academy for sharing their knowledge and to our leaders for being committed to their own personal growth and development. We look forward to continuing our partnership with PMA to develop FTI’s future leaders and technical project leads going forward!

This past September, FTI employees put their walking shoes on and participated in a friendly Step Challenge. We started the challenge on September 11th with our Climb it or Walk it Step Challenge in which all proceeds went to Tunnels to Towers. Our challenge ran through September as we documented how far we could go, providing weekly updates measuring our progress. Together, our employees walked 9,913.84 miles, roughly the distance from the 9/11 Memorial in New York to FTI’s Goleta office in California. We are proud of our employees for getting involved in this fun challenge to see how far we could go!
