This month Forbes magazine issued its latest annual research report identifying the largest privately held companies in the United States, and once again Gordon Food Service appears near the top of the list at 16th overall. Gordon Food Service has been on every list since Forbes first began publishing it in 1985. Gordon Food Service sales exceeded $20 billion in 2022, with plans to continue its fast-paced, high-growth trajectory in the year ahead.

Square Roots Celebrates New Indoor Farm in Ohio With Gordon Food Service
Growth is always good news, and Gordon Food Service Stores opened two stores —a new one in Memphis, Tennessee, and a relocation in Battle Creek, Michigan. Gordon Food Service Store opened a new 27,000-square-foot store in Memphis. Like our other new stores, this one is designed for home shoppers, restaurant owners and foodservice professionals of all types; the décor is modern and fresh with an easy-to-navigate layout for quick shopping. The store is open to the public and does not require a membership. The new Battle Creek store is significantly larger than the store it replaces. It also brings all of the latest and greatest features like customer walk-in coolers, a focus on fresh, grab-and-go meal solutions, gourmet popcorn and a fresh deli.
