We're partnering with Ford Motor Company to kick off our electric journey within our Stores, but we aren't stopping with vans. We currently have goals in place for electric switchers and tractors later in 2022 and throughout 2023. Check out our teaser video!

IFDA recently announced the nominees for the 2022 IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame. More than 130,000 foodservice distribution drivers are now on the road, but only those with the best safety records and longevity of service qualify for the IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame. To be eligible, the driver must have at least 25 years of employment with an IFDA member company with no chargeable accidents and no moving violations within the last five years. Gordon Food Service has many drivers across North America who meet these criteria. We would like to congratulate six of our drivers that were nominated for this recognition!

We're proud to welcome over 30 different interns to the Home Office for the summer months! Our internship program provides real-world work environments where interns learn new skills in a professional setting. The goal is to allow these interns a chance to show that they can contribute great value to an organization through their unique skills in hopes that one day they will come back and become future employees.

Happy Earth Day! We are proud of our recycling efforts in 2022. In our distribution centers we: - Donated 4,200 tons of food to local food banks to help support our communities, while also reducing food spoilage and waste to landfills - Recycled 1,820 tons of materials - Recycled 72,000 tons of wood pallets some of which are converted into garden mulch or wood stove pellets We are excited to continue to help make an impact and try to reduce our environmental footprint in the years to come!
