Meet Heather, an Office Manager in Virginia “I came to Groups after spending some time as a police officer in Virginia. I was so excited to become an officer, I wanted to have that front facing experience with people, provide resources and give help to those who need it. But, I wasn’t able to create those community building bonds and had to solely focus on enforcing legalities. I felt like I was drifting further away from what I was meant to be doing, and had such a drive to make a difference in my community. I found the position at Groups and thought it sounded like a fantastic opportunity. I absolutely love my job as an Office Manager, working directly with members has been an incredible experience! I love being a part of members' recovery journeys, seeing them achieve their goals and be proud of the life they have created for themselves is so rewarding. The new office here in Lynchburg has been accepted so well by the community, the need for Groups here is high and we are thrilled to bring our services to the area.
