From businesses and governments to people at home, we all have a part of play in protecting the home we all share. To continue our part in combatting climate change, IKEA is joining COP26 - UN Climate Change Conference as a partner to furnish key areas of the venue in Glasgow. COP26 is a critical moment to inspire change and enable the many to take ambitious climate action and deliver real change, and IKEA is happy to be a part of the process. 🌎
It is critical that we act now to address the climate crisis. We applaud the Biden administration for the bold sustainability initiatives proposed in the Build Back Better Act. We at IKEA understand that this will require sacrifices to make a positive difference, and we are committed to continuing to do our part to mitigate climate change. Read our full statement to Congress as they consider the Build Back Better Act.

Hej! I’m Ceena Gopalakrishnan, a Development Manager on the IKEA U.S. Expansion team. Born and raised in Mumbai, I started my IKEA career in India. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work across geographies and lead diverse teams. While in India, I’ve seen IKEA come up with equal parental policy, a milestone for many employers in a country like India. I’ve had the opportunity to work with multiple leaders at IKEA, both men and women, who always put equality at the core of everything they do. They have challenged me to push my boundaries and helped me grow as a leader. For me, gender equality is having the ability to make our own decisions or choices, irrespective of the gender. While this may sound fundamental, I have seen that realities can be very different in many societies. As with many other things, equality begins at home, and as a mother of a 12-year-old boy, we make it a point to talk about the disparities that exist today and how all people can make a difference, together. #Equality #genderequality #teamIKEA
Happy Women’s Equality Day! Today we’re celebrating those who have fearlessly advocated and continue to advocate for a more gender equal future for the many. To all the trendsetters, trailblazers and more - thank you for taking the time to fight for women across the world.

Our vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people. That’s why we bring together IKEA designers and women artisans to support communities tackling social challenges. Together, we use traditional handicraft techniques and materials to co-create limited edition products.
