On Saturday, November 9, Lendmark employees gave their time towards the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office Fourth Annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway in partnership with Volunteer Gwinnett and Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry. This event distributed over 3,000 meals to local families, each receiving a ham or turkey, sides, fresh vegetables, and personal and household items. What we love most about our Lendmark family is the selflessness of our employees and their intentionality in giving back to our communities. Congratulations are in order! Lendmark’s very own Shalon Travis, VP of Talent Acquisition and Contingent Workforce, was recently recognized as one of SIA’s 2024 Contingent Workforce Game Changers. Staffing Industry Analysts, or SIA, honors forward-thinking contingent workforce management professionals who are evolving the global world of contingent work through their innovation, determination, and ability to change the game. Shalon is being honored for her 'out-of-the-box' thinking in establishing and overseeing a highly successful Internal Recruitment program at Lendmark. She has been recognized amongst professionals from organizations such as Netflix and Marriott International. We couldn’t be prouder to have Shalon as part of the Lendmark family. On Saturday, August 24, Lendmark hosted its annual awareness and wellness event, Climb to Cure, to culminate our three-month-long fundraising campaign for CURE Childhood Cancer. The event took place at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, Ga., where more than 150 employees, along with friends, family, and business partners, climbed the stadium stairs and walked the causeway. This is symbolic of the challenges facing children and families battling cancer. For 2024, we raised a record-breaking $2.1M for our Climb to Cure campaign. Lendmark’s Founder and CEO, Bobby Aiken, presented the ceremonial check to CEO Kristin Connor of CURE. Thank you to all those who made this incredible contribution to CURE possible – you are making a true impact in the fight against childhood cancer.
We had a blast hosting the Lawrenceville Boys & Girls Club for their Career Day. Their visit was jam-packed with learning about different career options in the financial services field, remarks from Lendmark leaders across several departments, an Executive Leadership Program (ELP) panel, giveaways and more! Thank you Donna Stone, EVP Chief Accounting Officer and Controller, and the rest of your team for organizing this fun, education-filled day! Also, shoutout to all our incredible speakers for sharing your career experiences with the BGC students. We were beyond impressed by all the students’ questions and can already tell they’re on the right track to a successful career and awesome future.
