On Monday, September 11, Lendmark hosted its annual awareness and wellness event for childhood cancer research called ‘The Climb’ – bringing together nearly 150 employees and business partners in person for the first time since 2019. The event took place at Coolray Field where attendees climbed the stadium’s stairs, symbolic of the challenges facing children and teens battling cancer. For 2023, Lendmark employees, customers, business partners, family and friends raised a record-breaking $2 million dollars for our Climb to Cure campaign in support of our nonprofit partner CURE Childhood Cancer . Thank you to all of those who made this incredible contribution to CURE possible – you are making a true impact in the fight against childhood cancer. #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth #ClimbToCure #LendAHand
Kudos to Lendmark employee Maurice Peerman for teaching local high school students smart financial habits! Maurice Peerman, AVP Divisional Branch Coordinator, recently volunteered his time and talents at William Campbell Combined School (WCCS) in south central Virginia to teach students in the economics class about personal finance. Topics he covered included the C’s of credit, how credit decisions are made, 50/30/20 rule, and smart spending habits. Maurice is also a class of 1994 alumnus of WCCS.
In honor of #FlashbackFriday, we wanted to share details from our amazing event this month. We hosted our 2022 Branch Ops & CEO Awards Ceremony, honoring 17 employees who demonstrated exemplary performance and work ethic in 2022. Fourteen of these award winners were top performers from Branch Operations, and the others received the annual ‘Legacy Award’ and ‘Presidential Award of Excellence’ from our Founder & CEO Bobby Aiken. All award winners were invited to attend a special reception and dinner in Atlanta where they were celebrated for their accomplishments and the valuable impact they’ve made within their respective business areas, across their teams and the company, and among the customers that Lendmark serves. Congratulations to all the award winners! We can’t wait to see how you continue to shine in your career!
