Pacific Dental Services Foundation Awards Over $100,000 to Winter 2023 Dental Assistant Scholarship Recipients - On Dec. 12, 2023 – The Pacific Dental Services® (PDS) Foundation proudly announced the Winter 2023 Dr. Carolyn Ghazal Dental Assistant Scholarship recipients. A remarkable group of 24 dental assisting (DA) students collectively received over $100,000 to help cover tuition expenses! The PDS Foundation has granted over $1.5 million in scholarships since 2016.
This week, we celebrated the grand opening of Culver Smiles Dentistry, marking the launch of our first co-located practice alongside a MemorialCare primary care practice. Our first-of-its-kind collaboration represents an innovative step in bringing together dental and medical services under one roof and will provide patients with a whole-person health experience, recognizing the critical role oral health plays in someone's overall health. We are excited about the future of our partnership, and the ways we will continue to impact patient care, together!

On the fourth and final trip of 2023 to the PDS Foundation Clinica Dental, PDS team member volunteers served over $250,987 in donated services to 188 patients. Access to care is so important and we appreciate all the hours every team member has donated throughout the years. Thank you to all who gave their time and talents in Guatemala this week and on all previous trips. We're excited to see who will be on the 2024 trips!
