Creating energy as effectively as humanly possible is very important to us at POET. POET Bioprocessing – Chancellor uses recycled wood — broken pallets, construction lumber, and even target boards from local axe-throwing businesses — every day to power its boiler. If we can get our hands on it and use it in our boiler, we’ll get energy from it! We’re also proud of our partnership with the City of Sioux Falls, which gives us the ability to utilize landfill gas to help power the Chancellor facility. We challenge you to celebrate #RecycleWeek with us by choosing to recycle or reuse something to make this world a better place. 🌎♻️

Meet our next #PeopleOfPOET feature: Matt Ward, Government Affairs Manager! "Unless Star Trek or Star Wars comes true, this is it — this is our home. When I think back to what we’ve done in the last couple of centuries to where we are now, the advancement has been amazing. But we have paid a pretty heavy price to get here in terms of the resources used to produce the technologies we enjoy today. Now that we have realized those costs, it’s important that we protect the technologies that have given us net wins while being more mindful of how we utilize our resources. At POET, we really are in a unique position to provide a low-carbon, renewable energy solution using the sun, soil, and seed. It really is a sustainable, clean, and efficient pathway to maintain our quality of life and pump the breaks on oil." Do you share Matt's passion for crafting a sustainable future?
