Black History Month is a time to honor and reflect on the remarkable achievements of African Americans throughout history. At Reckitt, we are celebrating Black History Month and amplifying Black voices. In partnership with our BOLD (Black Organization for Leadership Development) employee resource group, we are dedicated to building an inclusive environment by continuing to support and develop our Black employees, improving engagement within the Black community and amplifying our voice to Black consumers. Black history is American history and while February is reserved for Black History Month, the recognition and celebration of Black History, Black People, and Black Culture is a year-round event.
Reckitt North America has earned recognition as a Top Employer for 2023! Over 2,000 employers participated in the survey and were extensively evaluated across over 20 topics from Work Environment, to Career Development, to Rewards & Recognition. Reckitt’s US survey results show that we excelled 100% and beat the benchmark for the domains of Purpose & Values and Ethics & Integrity. Reckitt also scored 14.74% above the benchmark for the domain of Diversity & Inclusion. Reckitt’s Canada survey results show that we scored over the benchmark and 90%+ in 4 out of the 6 pillars namely Steer, Shape, Attract, Develop, Engage & Unite. Amidst reviewing nearly 400 practices at Reckitt, we earned a whopping 100% score, similar to the US, in Purpose & Value & Ethics & Integrity along with above-peer scores in Diversity & Inclusion. Meet Nilesh Mehta, Environment Compliance Head – Developing Markets relentlessly leading our sustainability projects with his team for the past 11 years across Asia, Africa, and Middle East. Together we have achieved 100% renewable electricity operations in all manufacturing sites at South Asia and water neutrality at the Hosur site. A Solar Power Purchase Agreement has been signed off at the Mysore manufacturing site which will enable reduction in carbon emissions by 80% for the site. These achievements are just a glimpse of how Nilesh’s conviction to make a positive impact and Reckitt’s purpose to make a cleaner and healthier world is a winning combination. Meet Bill Laughey, our Senior Medical Scientist and Nurofen In House GP. To Bill, Freedom to succeed means there is always the opportunity to keep learning, developing and striving to improve. Bill joined us last year in his mid-50s, with only a clinical and education background. Prior to Reckitt he was a GP with a special interest in headache and he has been writing papers on empathy in his university role for the last six years. “Although working in a commercial environment was unfamiliar to me, it’s been an amazing learning experience.
