Interview
I applied for the position of customer service assistant online and went through the application process which included the online assessment which I passed and was then invited to book my interview- this process took around 3 weeks.
I arrived 5 minutes earlier than the time of my interview and I walked up to the counter and told the store manager I was here for my interview and she was the one interviewing me so I met her straight away. As soon as I got there, she was so kind and instantly I felt at ease which helped as I was so nervous. I was taken into a small room where I sat opposite the manager. She asked to see my passport and then started by asking about the hours I could do, she also asked about my previous experience and we even had a chat about what I’m currently doing which is A-levels and it all felt very relaxed. She also asked me at this stage to confirm the position I was applying for and she tested me on the information they give in the job advert so make sure you know about the job you are applying for as they could ask you! Once we had finished this she told me she would now be asking me the proper interview questions and she only had 5 to ask me. When I finished answering her questions, I asked her a question which meant I found out more about the job role. After this we went onto the shop floor where she asked me to complete 3 short tasks. First, she left me in the hair products aisle where I was left for 5/10 minutes to tidy up the shelves and make it look better so I did this by moving all the products forward, making sure labels were straight and trying to reduce gaps. Secondly, she asked me how I would help a customer looking for a present for their father and finally she asked me to go and find the best value Paracetamol in store. Then we headed back into the little room where she said she would be in touch within a week and I left. Overall, I think it all went well! I was offered the job of Trainee healthcare assistant in the end as the situation changed but I was told that if the other job had been offered to anyone it would have been to me and at the end of the day I still got a job and I basically do the same as a customer service assistant however I am doing healthcare training at the same time so I can help with the pharmacy!

Interview
Online process was murder. Had to fill in a total of 170 questions which I found very absurd for a job like this. About two weeks after I was invited over for an interview. Made the appointment online. I arrived at the shop and they didn't know about the interview and said I might be at the wrong Boots. She then asked me to go 'out for a coffee or something' and come back 45 minutes later. Of course I didn't agree with this and showed them the email with confirmation of the interview and she double checked again with the assistant manager. She came back saying the 'didn't read the note'. After waiting another 15 minutes in a staff room without anyone offering me a drink I was called into the office. The interview went okay, standard questions about yourself and why you want to work for them. Scenario questions were a bit difficult. After that I went onto the shop floor and she wanted me to get products for a customer who had a budget of 10 pounds, put products back in shelves, and find the cheapest toothpaste and paracetamol.
Wasn't impressed by this interview and about the fact that they were quite unprofessional so I don't think I will take this job if they would offer it to me. They also didn't inform people in the job description that the hours included late shifts till midnight as well.
Didn't get an offer, but even if I did, I wouldn't have taken the job.

Interview
I applied online & received an interview offer two days later, I chose the first time offered for two days time. On the day I went to the store, met my interviewer, who was friendly & was asked four questions & then had the chance to ask my own, I was then told she would ring me in a week but received an email a day before I was expecting the call to say I was unsuccessful. I will be ringing tomorrow to ask for feedback as this was my first interview.
