      Pros

      Company functions and events. A well articulated mission and corporate culture. Great products and an industry leader in our space. Great product discounts. Some of the best people that I have ever worked with. The customer base we serve. Good benefits. 401 K matching.

      Cons

      A growth company requires a lot from its team. Some days are long. Turnover appears high.

      Pros

      This company cares! Cares about our customers, cares about the employees. This caring atmosphere makes me want to do my very best for the company and our customers. I take pride in knowing that my hard work is acknowledged and appreciated. The company has high standards for it's employees, why shouldn't it? I feel more heart in this company than I ever have. I appreciate the new life our current guard has breathed into 5.11. Thankful to be here ever day.

      Pros

      Many employees come from Orange County action sport companies, great networking for future opportunities.

      Cons

      The working environment here is toxic. Supervisors are stifling and verbally abusive. The worst part is upper management is aware of this problem, allows it and even supports it. HR and upper management push the "5.11 culture" on employees but fail to practice what they preach. Many are bullies and teams are very mismanaged. The lack of leadership from upper management and the HR department is proven in the employee turnover rate. Managers gossip to employees of all levels which is extremely unprofessional and makes for awkward team lunches. Learning is extremely slow because employees are micro managed and untrusted even after months/years of proven work.
