Pros

As a former restaurant executive, I have learned an incredible amount about retailing. The data available to analyze is simply amazing. Retailers can learn a lot working here.

Cons

Impossible to hit expectations if you work less than 70-80 hours per week. My day starts at 5:30am and often ends at 10pm or later. Company strategy changes weekly. This role requires interaction weekly with franchisees where we are to "influence" franchisees to align with company strategies (which change weekly) that typically do not benefit the franchisee. We are supposed to consult our franchisees but we really just beat them into submission. No wonder about half of our franchisees hate us. Hostile environment.

Pros

Some interesting projects to work on. HQ is an interesting and modern place to work.

Cons

In so few words: IF YOU ARE NOT INDIAN, YOU WILL NO SUCCEED AT 7-11. The entire org is saturated with Northern and Southern Indian cliques. If you didn't come from India, you are excluded from the real happenings at the company. People are promoted, retained and advanced based entirely on the Indian caste system. Prolific H-1B fraud and abuse. "Indian only" staffing agency collaboration and kickbacks. The entire operations group runs on kickbacks from vendors they partner with. Prolific fraud an preferential treatment of certain vendors based on personal ties. Wages are below par, and never increase. They laid off 900 folks during a record profit year. Overall, an evil, greedy, racist organization that is run by corrupt human beings. 0/10, would not work again.

Pros

Steady Paycheck, Company Car, flexible Schedule, Benefits

Cons

Unqualified upper management. Most market managers do not have a clue how to lead a team or anything about the business. They depend on their staff to do their job yet get promoted every other year. Regional runs the place like a Mob, hires family and friends with little to no skill and promotes them for personal gain. Doesn’t know anything about her own job and has an employee doing everything for her just to keep her head above water. Lots of favoritism and nepetism. No support for employees who can actually “get the job done” or have the skills. Corporate leadership in Dallas is falling apart because they have allowed this nonsense to go on way too long.
