Pros

Free soup. That was it.

Cons

AAPC started out fine. But that was just in training. Then the benefits started getting cut back. Mainly the free food they provided their employees. Okay, sure, save some money. Whatever. Then, the rounds of layoffs. I worked there for 3 months, and saw 3 ROUNDS of layoffs. 3. Got tired of hearing "we got ahead of our skis a little bit" every time we had to have a panic meeting for the remaining employees. Each time being reassured it was an anomaly. The topper was management changing over for customer service, to Mr. Bill Moon, who has no control over his temper. Nothing like being dragged into a meeting room to be screamed at (I wish I was exaggerating. His face turned bright red from being so upset) over a bad customer service call. No prior conversations or warnings. Then, HR justified his behavior. So, all in all, they don't care about their employees. They just pretend they do because otherwise, they wouldn't have any.

Thank you for providing us with your feedback. As a member of the leadership team I take your comments seriously and I am sorry you didn't have the best experience during your time here. Layoffs are one of the toughest things for employees and a company to go through. We explore every option we can (decreasing vendor spend, reducing travel, etc.) to ensure we are able to protect as many jobs as possible. In these uncertain economic times, I believe all of our employees would rather that we temporarily suspend perks like free food vs. eliminating positions. Thanks again for taking the time to leave this review and we wish you the best in your career.

Pros

The secretary and HR assistant try so hard to provide fun lunches, games and contests to make going to work bearable. There is free lunch every day and soda machine. There is a gym and a shower equipped with clean towels.

Cons

Management. From the top down it's not about care for employees or even customers. It's all about profit. There are unrealistic goals set, so much that people are quiting due to the pressure. The atmosphere is so tense there are employees looking for anything else to get out of the toxic environment. Our systems are unreliable and project zero professionalism. With the computer systems, Web site and phones down at least once a week it's hard to take pride in your company. AAPC does not compensate me for my cell phone, asking me to forward calls to my cell phone is unacceptable. There should be a contingency plan, especially for those employees that are commission based.

Thank you for sharing your experience at AAPC. We wish your time with us was more positive. However, your comments will help us connect better with employees and shape how we communicate internally in the future. We are happy to say that we've put our technology challenges behind us. Since your time at AAPC we've created a more reliable infrastructure which has prevented outages. The biggest challenge AAPC has faced is our exponential growth in a short period of time. Legacy systems continue to be updated and new technologies are being developed. It hasn't happened over night, but we believe we've made the right improvements. Again, thank you for your comments and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Free lunch, front line employees are good people, this organization was all about its members, now it's all about profit and executive bonuses

Cons

Owner won't match 401k contributions - that should tell you enough about this company. C-suite are nothing more than "yes" people to the owner, CEO likes to move functions to India but thinks he's doing it "nicely" while giving you a chance to train your replacement. Way too much in office politics. President of Healthicity is like nails on a chalkboard with very little awareness of what is really going on and he practices nepotism very well

Thank you for your review. We're sorry that your experience at AAPC was not positive. We've worked hard to create benefits our employees seek. Matching 401k contributions is one we actively discuss and hope to implement in the future. We recently rolled our new open PTO policy and have continued sharing Ski Utah gold passes with employees. We wish you well in your future endeavors.
