Pros

There are some plus sides to working at AAPC. They provide free lunch just about every day in the form of a well stocked kitchen, and there are occasional seasonal parties (as long as you return to your desk afterwards). They have a 'fitness center' (a room with some exercise equipment) you can make use of. Depending on what team you're on there are some really cool people there...or at least there used to be. A large portion of their competent workforce are bailing as fast as they can find other jobs.

Cons

Honestly, AAPC doesn't care much about its employees. There is little to no loyalty to the employees who run the day to day operations. There is a constant voiced threat that anyone can be replaced by people in India for a fraction of the cost. There are a lot of resources poured into the new sales team (about a year and a half old) while the rest of the company are left to struggle with old equipment, teams in india, and outrageous revenue goals placed on the company by the owner, who visits maybe once a year. The management polices in office socializing, so though you might work with people you'd like to get to know, you must do so on your own time.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your time at AAPC. I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience during your time here. Nothing is harder than making the decision to ask someone to leave the company, but as you know, we give any employee who underperforms the opportunity to address the issues. Related to your comments, our Open PTO policy is designed to inform all employees who is “out of office” so we can ensure continuity of business. Unfortunately, when an employee takes advantage of Open PTO or Working From Home, we have to place restrictions on an individual basis. Thanks again for taking the time to leave this review and we wish you the best in your career.

While some might welcome alcohol on-site, it is unfortunately not one of AAPC’s employee benefits. However, our Freestyle soda machine includes more than 100 other beverage mixing options for employees to enjoy with free food, great health insurance, 401K matching, open PTO, ski passes, sporting and event tickets, outings, an in-house gym (Pelaton bike trainer added last month – woohoo), and several other benefits that make working at AAPC great. Additionally, Bevan Erickson and others at AAPC are not “ripping off customers”, “committing fraud”, or racially discriminating at AAPC - and there is no hiring freeze on “nonwhite”. African Americans make up higher percentage of our employee base than are found in our state population and AAPC follows all federal and state laws, including those enforced by the EEOC. We do not discriminate in employment and personnel practices on the basis of race, sex, age, disability, religion, national origin, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law. Hiring, transferring and promotion practices are performed without regard to the above listed. AAPC welcome’s transparent reviews but find this one a bit aberrant. ;)
