Pros

Decent base pay & stronger commission Decent medical benefits 401k

Cons

Success depends on your timing at the company, tenured partners, role and territory. Without all four, success is not on your side. Expect you to call all day and solicit businesses all day long. Very demeaning role.... Lack of morals. Sex sells..some of the women dress like hookers. scare sales tactics, deceiving clients/prospects, small clients treated poorly/ignored. Treat clients/prospects at dollar signs instead of respect. Lies, lies, lies in order to close deals. Constantly fighting for account and preventing sales splits to people who don’t deserve a dime. Managers that are only managers because they hit sales targets....not because they know how to manage/motivate teams. They just sit back and enjoy the rewards. Blame poor sales performance on the individual. Clients/prospects have at least 12 different ADP sales employees contacting them on any given day. Salesforce is only used to protect sales activities. Employees lie and cheat to get split into account of sales processes. ADP’s motto - “we are the best of the worst”. Essentially we know we are bad but ok as long as we are not that bad.

Pros

It's a good, solid company. Excellent sales training. Leader in its industry and likely will remain such.

Cons

You are absolutely a number and nothing more. No skill necessary; it's pure grind. Good for entry level folks, but if you've been around awhile this will likely be a step back.

Pros

Fast paced and competitive. Plenty of opportunity to grow if you're successful. Basic Sales Training is very good. Peer to peer relationships are generally very positive.

Cons

Unfortunately a fear based culture both internally with it's employees and externally with competitors, customers and prospective customers. In my decade and a half working there I was always successful which minimized my exposure to the intimidation and fear tactics that exist but I saw the result on peers and felt it myself at times. I routinely saw peers instructed to act unethically or intimidated. Not all leaders acted in this fashion but many, many of them did. In retrospect, I'm ashamed that I never spoke up but I felt it would have fallen on deaf ears and would have reflected poorly on me. Initially I was excited by the fast pace, hyper-competitive culture but as time went on it was clear that my values were not the values of the company. Rather than leave (which I should have) I chose to simply operate based on my own values and ignore the pressures to change. I've always wanted to write a review but didnt because of fear of retaliation. Now that I am several years removed I see that nothing has changed and frankly I'm shocked by what I continue to hear from my old peers that still work there or hear how my old peers have been treated when they leave. "Your either with us or against us" "do whatever it takes to win" "revenue growth above all" are quotes that epitomize the culture.
