Pros

Decent pay for an entry level job

Cons

Ok where do I start? You will work in a Home Depot with very little indication that you’re not a Home Depot employee. So be prepared to train yourself to learn how to work every single department if you plan on selling anything. Speaking of training, you will receive a day or two of training then off you go to your store with little to no supervision and support. They’ll try to tell you that this will give you more freedom, but if you need any advice or assistance, I hope your supervisor answered their phone more often then mine did. Next, you’re at the mercy of Home Depot whom by the way have their own reps whom are basically doing the same job as you, and the management will knee cap you to ensure they’re reps get the leads instead of you. Right time will cut your hours in half if you haven’t gotten a lead as fast as they want. They will take you off the clock in the middle of your shift. The representatives I sent to do estimates I learned after I left we’re going into business for themselves costing me at least $600 in commissions. I found this out because RTHS was kicked out of my Home Depot because of this a few weeks after I left. I guess the main point of this is not to say right time is horrible but the lack of supervision and support means your pretty much going to be figuring out how to sell their products on your own.

Pros

We had really wonderful employees to work with, decent pay structure, branch location, and the office is a great starting point to progress to management.

Cons

There are too many mature managers willing to pass the buck and dump as much responsibility as possible off on their colleagues, or their employees, ultimately creating a culture of "I don't know who's going to fix it, but it's not me...try John Smith, he'll do it." The parking lot is cramped and very annoying on busy days. The biggest downfall that I believe is overlooked is that if one employee leaves, 99% of the time they don't replace them, they "absorb their duties" into the rest of the team, saying they'll replace them in the next season...but they never do. This causes tension and stress on the rest of team doing double the work, which only compounds when another person is let go (and this is in ALL departments both standard and managerial).
