Pros

Decent pay, free fruit and free soda.

Cons

Everything at this company is politics. Over and over I've seen the very talented, hard-working people get turned away for positions, and the lazy ones get promoted because their friend is the manager. Some have even been dismissed for petty reasons after trying to get ahead. They keep losing a lot of great people and I just shake my head. Because of this, morale is very low and the turnover is very, very high.

Pros

During my time there, I met the greatest people. Most aren't there anymore, but we keep in touch. I have hope for the support department, and the company as a whole, because of those who stayed but I fear they will never be given the power to effect any real change which is why I left.

Cons

The cons outnumber the pros by far. ABILITY Network is a perfect example of how not to run a software [as a service] company. A perfect case study in organizational behavior if you're looking for the worst environment for employees to fester in for 8+ hours a day. ABILITY encourages laziness and mediocrity despite preaching growth opportunities, collaboration, etc. It's a sham, the ABILITY support department is a sinking ship, proceed at your own risk.

Pros

The budget will allow for some pretty awesome initiatives but there aren't senior leaders that are competent enough to be purposeful in these endeavors.

Cons

The company is the most unprofessional firm I've ever worked with. They are growing rapidly and with this comes much uncertainty. Uncertainty and lack of direct is not a concern. It is the lack of values and awareness that are shocking. I have seen them terminate employees for simple inquiries. It seems they are looking to be as profitable as possible and if they can 'jump a penny in the center to grab 5 cents in the corner' they absolutely will. If you need employment, I would not advise that you turn down an opportunity. But do advise so if you have no other choice.
