Low Pay, Low Professional Development, Nepotism, Poor Management Practices

mismanaged, low-pay, lack of appreciation for staff, clear nepotism, poor staff training, borderline fraudulent insurance practices

Hello and thank you for your feedback. I am happy to report that APL has passed all audits without concern. We have also hired a Clinical Support Specialist whose role is to train and develop all staff and deliver professional development ideas and opportunities. Lastly, we have developed and put into action an employee pay scale for all positions in the organization based on education and years of experience in order to be more equitable and stay competitive as a non-profit.

Good Introduction to Working with Kids who have Autism

• Relatively low salary • Would've liked more direction from management

Kids are amazing, administration is frustrating

Pros

The kids at APL are phenomenal and working with them was one of the best experiences of my life. Most of my coworkers were wonderful and worked together well. I felt like I was really making a difference in the lives of the students.

Cons

Communication was lacking, the salary was difficult to live on in Seattle, and some of the administration's hiring choices were mind boggling.
