A Great Place to Work

Pros

Senior management is open and transparent. I get the impression that they really care about employees and want to make this a Great Place to Work. My direct supervisor is adamant about the work/life balance. I also enjoy that she does not micromanage but rather knows that we are aware of what needs to be done and she gives us the freedom to get it done.

Cons

We hear rumblings that not all departments have the work/life balance because of the work load or management is all about control. Such a shame as you can give us gifts but to me, the interaction with your direct supervisor is what makes Acuity a Great Place to Work!

Wonderful company. Everyone is friendly and willing to help. Benefits are top notch. They appreciate their employees and remind them of that daily. Work/home life balance is priority. They treat everyone fairly.

Cons

Literally none. Seriously no cons.

Pros

Coworkers and management make you feel valued and a part of something bigger than yourself. Acuity is growing quickly so there are tons of opportunities for career growth. Benefits and Compensation are very strong. Employee feedback is heard and acted upon at the highest levels of management. Company performance and financials are industry leading. Hybrid and fully remote options bolster the already great work life balance. I feel very fortunate to be a part of Acuity.

Cons

The shift to work from home has had an impact on Acuity's culture. There are far fewer after work activities being planned by event committees. These are a big part of Acuity's culture and virtual activities have been planned but they are less of them and they aren't as engaging. In addition, being in the building doesn't have the seem comradery as it used to. That being said, the benefits of work life balance, especially for parents, definitely outweigh this con in my opinion. Hopefully as the pandemic outlook improves we can get some of that back.
